Matthew Armstrong

Matt graduated from Bath University in 2006, qualified as a pharmacist in 2007.

Matt has worked for Boots for 17 years and from 2007 had a number of pharmacist and pharmacy store management roles. From 2012, he moved in the Boots Support Office where he held a number of operational roles and took on the responsibility for implementation of NHS digital programmes in England including EPS, Summary Care Record and hospital discharge schemes. He now leads on the development of national NHS pharmacy contract frameworks with a specific focus on digital innovation and technology in all UK countries. Matt was elected as Chair for the Community Pharmacy IT Group in England from June 2021.

Matt joined Shropshire LPC as a CCA rep in August 2023 and is a member of the communication sub-committee. Before joining Shropshire LPC he was a member of Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes LPC for 4 years.

Matt lives in Nottingham and outside of work he has a keen interest in running and spends his weekends coaching his two boys football and cricket teams.
